Goose, you posted as I was. But seems we’ve found common ground. hehe

A proper gyros on the side streets of Kos. Highly recommended on trip adviser as the best joint in town. Rude not to after an afternoon of sun and mythos.

There is a dirty pizza place near the harbour I see in my future, there appears to be a few beers in the way though…
Oh you jammy devil.

Proper dirty giro should be made from a bloke on the street with a fag in his mouth, unknown meat source, and warm sauce.
With accompanied 3am gut-ache and toilet visits.

Suggestions for where to get some good scran in Edinburgh folks? Heading up there soon, tempted to try a few munchie boxes but I doubt SWMBO will approve

Clearly wasn’t dirty enough, sat by the pool with a beer again. Last full day frown

Nothing other than this is the 'authentic' gyros experience.

Not dirty in the slightest, but I had the best black pudding I've ever had in McKirdy's. I'd very happily go back there.

If you're looking for brunch that satisfies a bit of filth and something that the OH can enjoy, you won't go far wrong with Loudons.

Black ivy for breakfast/ brunch is lovely

Chinese id recommend new fortune cookie although its more south edinburgh it will depend where you are staying.

Pizza - civerinos is city center and is lovely, also theres a speciality wings place called wings that is good.

Kebab youve either got topkapi or javits both pretty good and therea a german donner on lothian road

Theres a few good mexican joints also on lothian road topolobamba i think is one of them.

Newhaven fishmarket is probably the best for a fish supper a bit pricey if your more looking for filth cabt go wrong with cafe piccante in the city center for deep fried mars bars etc..

Local Greek place messed up my order and gave me two pork gyros, so eating the leftover one cold out of the fridge. Fries have not done well in the fridge...

Had a donner pepperoni pizza after suffering all day with a monstrosity of a hangover. It was pretty poor by my local kebab shops standards but still passable

Same old favourites, but cut down on my portion sizes …

I will say I did leave some of the chips. This Chinese’s takeaway curry sauce is quite addictive however.

Same old for me, it’s close so just easy.

Ran out of meatballs so went with chicken, don’t like it on a pizza.

Had to warm it up, wasn’t that warm.

Dumb question: but what are the wee white picnic table things stood in a pizza for?

Support- To hold up the lid of the takeaway pizza box so it doesn't squash on to the pizza when the delivery driver piles multiple pizzas ontop of one another.

They’re supposed to stop the lid of the box and the pizza from touching each other. Not sure why there were two on that pizza and I also wish I had never bothered with it last night, it was flipping awful.
