Best i've found local to HG1 is in Boroughbridge (Fox & Hounds in Langthorpe), better than most of the offerings i've sampled from Teesside. Chef can sometimes overdo it with the thickness of the escalope, but beautifully moist in the middle whilst a crisp outer beneath the Bech is a joy to savour.

Google Street view of the restaurant/shop (as in converted house) reminds me of 80's in Bradford - when Studentville (so around the University) You would go get a curry, and be eating in somebody's front room sat on the floor.

Had a chilli sauce which was very nice, along with garlic mayo. Unfortunately a pitta rather than a naan but all went down very well.

In Blackpool last night and had to settle for Maccy D as Adams was closed for some reason
As usual asking for a McChicken sandwich,no lettuce, extra dehydrated onions, meant, to them, extra lettuce and fresh onions.

Likewise. I have also seen chips with curry. Its the chips and rice at the sme time seems strange.

On the flip side I never see people having rice and chips with a burger or steak or anything else you usually have just chips with..

Burger and dessert combo,took ages to come ,went for it after good reviews,any way was ok burger,not 5 star though,maybe I’ll go get it myself next time so it’s hotter and fresh,ate the lot and half the missus waffle,
