I think this might be my first 'proper' entry. 2 x Set Menu A from the local Vietnamese.

I had the Kung Po and Mrs Bigmon had the beef and mushrooms.

The least Vietnamese meal I've ever seen. It's a perfect entry!
Is your Vietnamese actually a Chinese? hehe

They market themselves as Vietnamese\Chinese fusion. I suppose they sell what they know people will buy.

Just looked on their menu and as well as the 'standard ' Chinglish stuff they sell, as an example:

102: BUN BO HUE
Flavourful spicy noodle soup with vermicelli noodles, your choice of topping and vegetables. Known for its spicy and slightly salty lemongrass flavours. Served with a side of herbs so you can garnish to your liking.

103: BUN THIT NUONG (N)
A popular Vietnamese dish of cold rice-vermicelli noodles topped with your choice of meat, herbs, salad and spring rolls. Served with nuoc cham (Vietnamese fish sauce) for dipping and garnished with peanuts.

We just bought Set Menu A as it's a good fat bd special.

Added sriracha sauce at home. Chips done, 2/3 kebab meat done and half the garlic bread, so I can have kebab pizza for breakfast tomorrow.

Looks tasty enough but can't help thinking that £22 is an awful lot of money for what it is?

Agreed. Bit sad for that.

Dat pizza tho.

Kind of blandness rubbish that is oh so good. Even better in the morning when you've left a slice in the box overnight to mature.

There's something wonderful about those kinds of pizzas every now and again. The sort of place where you can't fathom how they make any money by selling the biggest pizza you've ever seen for £6.

Then you realise around 1-in-4 probably don't contain the things they tell you they contain. Sometimes it's better not to know...

Always forget to take a picture and post when I have a takeaway, which would get quite boring on here anyway as it’s quite often and usually the same thing, luckily I remembered just as my mrs was about to tuck into this monster chicken burger.

It was one piece of chicken, 3 slices of cheese in a row, that’s how big it was, and they forgot to put the doner on it, so gave her a burger box full of doner meat, luckily she has a small appetite so I got to enjoy half after finishing my XL mixed doner.

We have very different definitions of "a small appetite".

She wasn’t expecting it to be that size! To be honest she was struggling after a few bites.

I agree with the posters above on the quality/value/size of last night’s takeaway. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t rubbish either. I went full filth and had a “cheesy garlic bread leftover kebab meat sandwich” for breakfast, eaten before 7am while heading out in the car to the dog walking field. They hadn’t sliced completely through the garlic bread, so it folded but didn’t split while I was chomping down on it.

After the talk about scraps with your chips last week it now appears that M&S have jumped on the bandwagon

They look more like the the fried onions used to garnish stuff than proper scraps, although they might look better cooked. Would guess that once you add in the cost (£1.05) and the gas / electricity plus time and effort to cook then them its got to make more sense to get a bag of proper chippie chips and the scraps thrown in for free.

Yup. The difference in prices across the UK is always interesting.

Here’s the pricing from a place in Durham in comparison -

Margins on pizzas are huge though when you factor in raw material costs. The days of massive pizzas for £6 are long gone sadly.
