Noticed kfc had a deal so had to do the beige chicken ting. Was cooked well but just tastes of oil. 10 quid and they upgraded mini fillet to big fillet burger. Box for 1 and wow box. Yes I chucked the chips.

I can't believe there isn't a proper Asian fried chicken joint fast food, decent flavours. It feels like the big chains just make as bland as possible to appeal to masses.

im not sure if it's just better heat intolerance but i seem to recall the hot wings at most independant fried chicken places around london seemed to be hotter around the mid 00s. nowadays they have no heat in them at all. some places are incredibly lazy with their seasoning.

tbh kfc feels quite clean these days. Their chicken isn't as oily as boss man chicken shops nor do they seem absurdly big like the battery farmed places. I actually didn't feel disgusted or sick after I had the Zinger tower box meal.

More Staffordian delicacies - K Town Chicken.

Sort of like KFC but a bit nicer.
Surprisingly good for what's essentially a dark kitchen in a Stonegate pub. Ordered from the one in Wednesfield a few times but it seems to have disappeared.

I never eat food from chicken shops, I don't understand half of what he says, but I can't stop watching his videos.

This one was truly excellent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0_1g5FVYAc&ab...

I've just figured out which Stonegate Pub you mean and all I can say is wow - wasn't expecting it to have come from there!

Anyway had a bit of a rough week so saw no shame in two dirty takeaways in a row, so decided to try the town's newest online deliverer of filth - the amusingly names Timmy's (if you're a South Park fan anyway).

I had a Regular Doner with chilli, wife had Chicken Tikka and we shared some Sweet Potato Fries and Cheese bites.

Very reasonably priced and very tasty too - would order again.

Bacon double cheeseburger, extra burger, bacon, cheese and no salad. The whopper is the wrong one.

They make a decent meat free version now, better than the mcplant imo.

Cooked on same grill as the meat so somewhat shot themselves in the foot for vegan Market, whereas the McDonalds effort is totally vegan. Sure both are Beyond Meat patties which are decent

Saw Timmy's wasn't sure if new as I think the old place closed down. Might get some myself.

Yeah, I don’t go that far with it. Hard to segregate cooking areas when your partner eats meat and that.

I get it tbh. Those flame grilling contraptions are huge. Don’t want to have to tear your stores up for a couple of burgers.

I noticed that McDs have started doing a double mcplant, which is a better effort than the small one.

Aye they've opened recently in the old Chicos place at the bottom of town. Shame that closed as it was probably our favourite Peri Peri place.
