There are a couple of really nice Nepalese places in Stafford - presumably due to the Gurkhas being based at the Army base on the outskirts of town. Wasn't aware of Mustang Valley so will try them out at some point.
We did have a lovely curry last night however from Bilash - so they do exist, just need to seek them out.

Yeh will go again. Love the flavours. Tbh English Indians are so poor against what is out there. They haven't really changed since 1970s.
Hardly they know their market and play to their strengths, if they've been doing what they do since the '70s and are still around it can't be that poor..Perhaps they should put chips on the menu to endear themselves to your highly-cultured tastes.

Do t sure what your argument is? Also I find it so middle-class people look down on chips like there are rules to eating dirt. Tell the Japanese to stop using katsu curry sauce as it isn't authentic . LolzPerhaps they should put chips on the menu to endear themselves to your highly-cultured tastes.

I'd rather have chips than rice in almost any situation tbh. I just prefer them, If I don't get chips with a curry it would usually just be a naan with it.
Each to his own I know, but I have never had chips with a curry or Chinese. It just doesn't spring to mind when ordering, in the same way I would never pick rice with a meal that I would usually have chips with. Also 1/2 rice and 1/2 chips just seems really odd to me. Cotty said:

Ok Indian I can understand, but Chinese? With the legendary dish that is Salt Pepper and Chilli chips? Dude you're missing out.

My kitchen is being renovated at the moment so it’s take outs and eating out for the next week. First up I fancied a curry but my go to place is closed on a Tuesday. Tried somewhere new and was pretty impressed. Here we have onion bhajis, dads desi curry, chilli fried rice and a keema naan. All pretty good. The curry was the star of the show though and I liked its description on the menu
It was described as “our dads own curry when he could be bothered. Chicken cooked in a sauce of fiery bengal chillis with lots of garlic, fenugreek and lemon. Makes you pay attention and mum complain”
I have never seen an Indian that puts green olives and jalapeño in its salad before
