For some reason I hate hot sausages but love cold ones (no innuendo intended)

Think you’ll find it’s the lesser know: fat enormous bd.

Sausages in a FEB is mandatory, as well as a loaf of fried bread and boopz.

Welcome back!

Uncooked halloumi as far as I can tell. Does your family know you're flirting with disgrace in this way? I know you can but that doesn't make it right.

It's the only way and without cow's milk i.e. sheep and goat's milk sprinkled with mint, is the key to a tangy counterpoint to the sweet watermelon. Works with honeydew melon too, but one must take care to not scrape out the goo from the seed pod.

Points deducted for bread / egg ratio way off. 3 eggs must have been smaller than realised.

Christ. Don't know what to say.

Is it the exposure of the camera making it look like it's gone through the dishwasher?

Basically, yes. Not accurate colour in the slightest.

Mushrooms nicely browned but not shrunken. Scramblies still a viscous liquid, and still glossy.

I think you're giving yourself too hard a time here. That's very nice, IMO.

It's your photographer you should be flagellating, not your chef.

Breakfast for the children, rather than for myself today.

Firstly, eggy bread for the boy, fried in butter and sprinkled with sugar

secondly, a single egg mushroom omelette for the girl.

Time spent in purgatory has been constructive, as I looked within and drew inspiration from SJ's ceaselessly inspirational feedback.

Both of those look very well cooked. Even your crockery game is on-point.

Bolidemichael returns to the thread on fine form.

I had brunch in Portugal this morning. Quite a feast.

I'm on holiday, so served with a beer, natch.

Isn’t soup normally a separate course?

I did wonder if I was missing a spoon, but the sauce is slightly spicy and is a normal part of the dish. Well, unless it's a special joke at the expense of the foreigner...

When you said 'served with a beer' I wondered if they'd poured it over the top.

Then I wondered if it was maple syrup.

Then I wondered what was worse.

Then I concluded that before dismissing it out-of-hand I should try eggy beer in a bowl and see if it's as exciting and exotic as it sounds.
