Fat boy breakfast at the Victory Services Club in London. Yes, that is fried bread under the egg. 3 rashers of good bacon under there somewhere too. The dumpy sausage was good.

Looks posh, and proper!
Would've been a perfect 10 if the hash brown was replaced with tinned plumb tomato clap

Nice to see a resurgence in fried bread and black pudding too.

First Saturday fry in ages, daughter and wife work most weekends and can’t be bothered cooking for one, today is a rare day we are all home.
I’d personally bin off the tomatoes, I’d eat the hash browns but wouldn’t choose them. However extra bonus points for the potato cake. Good work.

Grainstore Brewery, Oakham. £10.50 including pot of tea and glass of juice. Excellent!
Out of interest, did they put the pepper on the eggs or did you?

That's how they came out, already with the pepper on.

I really like pepper! I would have put some on myself if they hadn't already done it for me. Good point though, not great to assume everyone will want pepper on there.

Agreed - My wife would have done the same and did so once in a hotel when the eggs came out smothered in black pepper. Waitress said "It's the chef's style." She, quite correctly, replied that it did not say 'fried eggs covered in pepper' on the menu please take it back and cook two more. Pepper is a condiment and should be left to people's taste, I like it but many others don't.

^ ^ ^ Ordinarily, that would be a win from me ‘no canned comestibles visible’ unfortunately, chef’s skills seem somewhat lacking/nonexistent.

How I've only just found this thread is beyond me?????

However, I am a little disappointed in the lack of place names that accompany many of the pics? I need to work out where i can try some of these.

Quite a few of the photos were taken in Mrs Miggins' kitchen. Not a facility to which the general public have access.
