I like thick old fashioned bacon like that, with the rind, the type you got in the 1980s with a lady slicing it as you asked with a big roll of it with DANISH in blue lettering down the side ... rose tinted glasses on.

It looks like a sea creature trying to escape ..

Pan- I've recently acquired a 1kg cast iron "steak weight" that's brilliant for the purpose.

Luckily despite my Scottish genes that stuff has always been a treat for me, I just couldn't eat it often, and I run a lot. But every now and then.... phuck yeah. Filthy. With brown sauce, natch
