It has to be the right kind of sausage to go with cheese though. Boerwors works well, your average British pork sausage no.

Well done that man.
How many Guinness were consumed before passing out?
Cheers. 16 tins of Guinness and a solitary bottle of Lager (after the Guinness ran out). Surprisingly fresh today!

That was my point really; a slice of English cheddar and an under-cooked Richmond sausage is the stuff of nightmares.

Funny how plastic cheese goes well with a beefburger but appeals rather less with sausagemeat.

I'm claiming it. Piquant chorizo, natch. Transcends the bean from the humble to the spectacular.
I’ve always been a strong advocate of breakfast chorizo, I like to crisp up lumps and break an egg into them so they form one big clump of loveliness.

Anyway, this morning I tried the bacon and marmalade combo.
It was a bit like a fruity chutney.
It tasted ok, but the feeling like I was breaking some fundamental universal law means I probably would do it again.

As the recent progenitor of the bacon marmalade combo, I would firstly observe that you seem to have combined butter (or something that claims to be butter) with the marmalade. That would negate the acidity in the marmalade. Additionally, my marmalade contained ginger which amplified the tang to cut through the bacon's fatty and smoky qualities.

It’s Benecol on whole grain so technically that makes it healthfood.
I wouldn’t eat it without as my body’s a temple.

The other round had Sweet Baby Rays bbq sauce in it, so I’m not expecting anyone to take my experience as any kind of culinary high ground. smile

Had a poached goose egg for breaky this morning from a local farm. At least the size of 2 normal eggs so one is more than enough in ome sitting.

Yup. All the wins, right there. However, I’m a fat fker, so would have no problem doing two of those eggs. Not a criticism of NSP, more a “YMMV” type deal.

Sausage cheese and black pudding is amazing but for me the cheese needs to be melted.

I couldn't drink that much - not least because of the time I'd spend pissing it out!
