Cheers.
I was going to suggest that the egg shaking method was total bks, but that is a shaken egg straight into the pan with not a hint of yolk prodding. Fairly central considering my whole house is on the wonk.
Egg #2 coming up.
Really?? I thought that shaking thing was a joke......may have to try this tomorrow on the usual Saturday hangover. I was going to suggest that the egg shaking method was total bks, but that is a shaken egg straight into the pan with not a hint of yolk prodding. The yolk is the sauce.
If egg #2 was any more off centre I would have been cooking a Venn diagram.
End result here:
But to get it that central I had to tilt the pan and nudge it over with the heat turned up to quickly hold it in place whilst dragging some white with a spoon into the void it left.
Considering I've never previously had much trouble keeping my yolk central, I will assume the advice was shenanigans.
Also I previously mentioned that I left the top slice unbuttered, but as you can see I use a cheeky spot of butter in the middle to encourage yolk migration but more importantly protect the bread from going soggy. Apologies for the omission.
(Egg wasn't cooked perfectly either, but this one was for me, so not bothered.)

Nope, I tried not to but...
Seeing as it's your special day, would you like me to finish cooking that bacon for you?
That's the farm shop butchers bacon, it's not like the supermarket stuff with lots of water in, the flavour is superb and it's best only lightly cooked. I usually try to crisp the fat up a bit more than that though, just in a hurry to get to my pressies this morning.Seeing as it's your special day, would you like me to finish cooking that bacon for you?

Apologies for lowering the tone! My wife got me into it by telling me it was healthy and that if I had some avocado I could balance it with more bacon, sausages and black pudding, a fair trade off I think, I've actually got to like it now though.;) Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
