Let's name and fame the roastery then! *cough* *cough* foodie thread
Tis Humble Harrods

If you do opt for the Panamanian, check they're selling you the one at £45/kg and not the £400/kg variety! I've only ever tried the cheaper one but of all the coffees I've tried with pour over filter, this is the best. Not sure why but I also buy Guatemalan Antigua and a Costa Rican coffee from Harrods (both at £40/kg) but the Panamanian is definitely a notch above. I guess I buy the three different coffees to have some variety. And Harrods royal breakfast blend is banging too. Well worth the £80/kg.

Yum

Nice. How many eggs? Looks like 3 or 4 to me
I'm going to guess 4. I usually do 3 and that looks like a bit more than I get.
Was 2 Burfords (I’d say medium/) and then 2 large M&S eggs - kept me going till dinner in the evening.

That's wrong in just about every way, but is nonetheless surprisingly wantable. Good effort.

Bad but good. Cheerful, but depressing.

Discombobulating, but not unpleasantly.

Three out of eight out of ten.

The yolk broke on impact so had to salvage it somehow.

The way to test, if there is any doubt. Put an unbroken egg in a glass of water, if it lays flat on the base it's good, if at an angle it needs using quickly, if it floats it's off.

What has a freshness test got to do with a yolk breaking?

biglaugh Ha - unfortunately - while I can put it away - the days of it not laying down as some fat are behind me - just turned 49 myself.

I will say I often miss lunch if I have a good breakfast/ eat healthier when home etc. I will also say I’m big boned … (as my doctor said when having the yearly MOT - BP/heart rate all normal much to my wife’s annoyance). but using BMI as a measure I was morbidly obese - I’ll never be back to 12 stone and if I was he’d be worried about me !! At my heaviest I’d say 21 stone, but then I was playing county level rugby.

So yes - it’ll be 3 takeaways (back up north/Leeds) in 3 days - but they were /are the only (other than a morning Costa coffee) meal each day.

No prizes for fullness of plate or orientation of image, but I've been trying to perfect eggs en cocotte in the slow cooker.

Getting close.
