I do think that's crying out for a bread roll/bap/muffin/barm/insert your own local version. Needs absorbency that toast, fine product that it is, simply can't provide.

And a black coffee, the only way to have coffee in my opinion. Beautiful day out there today folks, get out there.

Can't argue with either of those points - busy day today but will be getting the BBQ out Saturday :-)

It certainly does!

Too many fried bread offerings are too soggy.

I often look at Ritchie’s pictures and wonder if the random ‘additions’ are some kind of cryptic messages laugh

It’s the PH version of a Rorschach test.

Batley - home of Fox’s biscuits !! (Used to be able to buy bags of broken biscuits direct from the factory)

Egg is buried under the beans. Presentation needs work, I agree. I can tell you that regrettably there was no black pudding, but the egg was only 20 minutes old when I cracked it. It was a dry run for next week in Le Mans.

No secret on the fried bread. Just make sure you have plenty of oil in the pan and don't neglect the bread for a moment when cooking. Hold it over the pan to 'drain' when serving.

Unusual, but I would. Probably with better ham though!
