Breakfast last week from Bramley Cafe in Leeds, next door to Aldi on Stanningley Rd.

3 bacon
2 sos
2 eggs
2 onion hash browns
spam
beans
toms
mushrooms
2 toast
brew
£7.50

Toast usually comes on a separate plate, but I asked for the toast putting underneath it all smile . Did give them a rollicking for the beans and toms - told them we're in Bramley, not Harrogate so cut the prretentious BS ! Both pots were swiftly poured over the rest of it. hehe It was very good, slightly let down by the sausages which were average at best.
Is that place just down from armley nick then?

Also, "onion hash brown"? thats a new one on me but sound delish

Has CdG’s captive finally broken free and murdered him? Not been seen on here for a while…..
There's been a bit of a kafuffall over on the 'barge' thread.........don't think he'll be having anymore breakfasts on here.......
He's back on June 23rd. I wonder whether he's been saving breakfast photos all this while?
Haven’t looked at thread in ages but what the hell could have happened there that resulted in a ban?! Probably the most convivial thread on PH!
Some careful application of ph posting rules...

Fried bread, where's all the fried bread? It's an essential part of every fried breakfast.

Thought onion was an integral and essential ingredient in hash browns.

Unless it's all or mostly onion in which case it's a bhaji surely?

confused

I’ll allow onions as it was almost lunch, just my breakfast!

HP is the devils seed, hate the stuff!

But yea, nice sear to them, cutting in half also stops a lot of sausage thrusting. I hate when it pops out.

Up the road, by about a mile or so. Come off after the fire station, right at the lights, left-ish at the rbt and it's about 400 yards down Stanningley Rd on the right.

Ref the hash browns, I've only had them with potato in, so was pleasantly surprised to discover these had onions in them as well. I didn't even know they were a 'thing'. smile

Marks And Spencer - Breakfast patties - so thought would try and make homemade Sausage Mcmuffins.

Failure as below

Patties literally just sausage meat without the casing ... (no additional seasoning/herbs)
Plastic Cheese failure - had to make do with some Jarlsberg

Patties not burnt, just crisped up as like them that way.

To even out the loading, one HP sauce, one the devils sauce (actually worked better than the HP tbh)

Pre lid being applied

Fully constructed

Looks decent. How was the hotel?

We used to go to the restaurant a lot when it first opened, think it was early 2000s, before the hotel was built.

The restaurant was fantastic at first but we've had a few mixed experiences since. Last time I was there they had whitewashed all of the interior and it just seemed to lose what little character it had before.

The spa is quite nice, although the thermal suite seemed to be showing its age.
