Zero points for presentation and style but had some paninis and eggs that needed using....
Only three sausages today but did put them on the "wrong" way for maximum coverage and support for the bacon / eggs, no cheese either but did add some brown sauce.
Camera fail for the money shot though :-(
Looks nice that. I like the idea, sausage, bacon, topped with two fantastic looking eggs, in a hand held format, top notch (apart from ciabata, which is the work of the devil).Only three sausages today but did put them on the "wrong" way for maximum coverage and support for the bacon / eggs, no cheese either but did add some brown sauce.

Due to (scientific) PH advice ” specklejim “,picked up some oatcakes whilst in Stoke-on-Trent. ,visiting the boy ,fried them in some butter as per instructions and put black pepper spam and egg inside and rolled up ,
Lo carb on back burner today
Nice one. You’ve inadvertently picked up the worst, commercially produced, crappy oatcakes of all, but even so they’ll still be nice. Lo carb on back burner today
Next time go to a proper independent (such as Oatcake Annies just up the road from your boy, as recommended by noted oatcake expert SpeckledJim) and take your oatcake game to another level.
Seriously, supermarket ones might last longer, but they’re not a patch on the real deal.

This is what oatcakes look like. Soft, thin, delicate. These are from ‘May and Mar Ladeez’ in Tunstall. Dead, dead proper.

Very good. Glad you tried them. They’re not the most spectacular-looking breakfast but good god a good one (ok, three) hits the spot. But know for next time that whatever you thought of the ones you had, much, much better are out there and easy to drop on if you know where to look.
