My usual go too is Taylors coffee, due to it always being on offer in the supermarket, two bags for £6 that'll do! To my shock recently i've found no special offer and have to pay full price (insert shocked face emoji). It got me thinking could I buy maybe a higher quality better coffee bean for roughly the same price to help with the now normal wake up routine?

Harrods

The one I buy are £40 or £45 a kilo. I'm keen to try square mile. Any experience of SM?

I’ll give a free shout out to Silver Oak Coffee. A small Independent roaster in Ely that sells online and at a handful of markets in Cambs on specific days. Their espresso bean is fantastic.

It's so complicate - too many beans.

Someone on here pointed me towards Lavazza Super Crema

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000SDKDM4/ref...

And I have been using this for about a month and it's pretty good.

I get fed up looking at websites featuring tribes who only appear out of the mist once every 12 years to produce beans. smile

https://www.hasbean.co.uk/ are good, they do a subscription so they send you a pack every week or month.

Also used https://www.redber.co.uk/ quite a bit

I think https://www.smokeybarn.co.uk/ are owned by a PHer

Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but Lidl £6.99 or £7.99 per kilo (during Italian week)
I'll buy a few bags when on offer coffee

Question for those with a bean to cup machine who are on a subscription service and get different beans each time...

Do you always have to adjust the grind or do you just leave it at whatever setting it’s on as I’m wondering if I get different beans each time, is the first shot always going to be a tester to check if it’s too bitter or weak..?

We've been getting ours from Coffee Link

Been impressed with all the ones we've had so far. Roasted in Suffolk.

Likewise (not everyone's cup of tea) - I buy Lichfields Italian Espresso Beans from Booker Cash and Cary, works out at £6.87 per Kg.

......and Nero even better than Costa - but it's all personal taste.

Ive also has lichfields from bookers. Not bad. Just purchased some lavazza from asda 10.50 for 1kg. This is a nice smooth blend.
