Interesting, I only tend to use the cafetiere if we've got visitors and I'm making more than 2 cups. Maybe I need do a side by side comparison with the aeropress. And get a metal filter to compare as well biggrin


As for beans, probably already mentioned further back in the thread, but keep an eye out for local coffee shops selling beans. We have a couple near us that both sell really good beans.

I think the aeropress is a great piece of design but much prefer the taste of same coffee using the V60 dripper method.

I quite like the Costco Kirkland Signature Colombian Supremo just over a tenner for 900g from memory.

The Lidl espresso magnifico is really good when in stock, missed out last time. Better taste and crema (for me) than Lavazza
