Harvesting well under way in Lancs mate, we make lots of infused gin. Blackberries, raspberries, sloes, bullace, plum etc

What's bullace? A couple of mentions here but I'd not heard of it.

A small plum or big damson; it's confusing

Resting gently on the windowsill!

I decanted and filtered today. About 3 litres in total, but I need to find some smaller bottles to be able to offer some as gifts. Tastes great, and is the best I have made.

Thread resurrection.

Just made a load each of sloe gin and spiced sloe vodka. The sloes are really excellent this year; plump and soft, nearly the size of table grapes. It’s most excellent.

I'm pleased you've had a good year, but also envious. Last year was a bumper one for me, but this year there were vanishingly few sloes on my patch. A colleague found some but there's nothing local to me.
You've reminded me actually; I must decant and filter the rest of the large 2022 production.
