Pinter - anyone got one and any good?
Discussion
MY second attempt started off really quite good, although still not perfectly clear despite brewing and conditioning for the maximum time suggested.
However, after tapping, the following day the lager was noticeably flatter than the day before, and by day 3 it was totally flat and undrinkable, despite me always turning the carbonation dial to the correct setting. Not sure what went wrong.
Got the IPA pack on the way, third time lucky I hope?

I was given one of these, tried a few brews, all were undrinkable so gave up on it.
Really? Just didn't like the taste or didn't work out the way it should have? I'm really hoping my third effort goes perfectly otherwise I might start losing the will to keep up with it.
Just a thread bump as I got a Pinter as a present just after Xmas.
The bad: Mine broke on first brew during the purifying stage. The tap fell off as the screws were not in properly. No way to fix.
Customer service was really poor. Lots of complaints that people had ordered months ago in time for Xmas and delivery delayed.
Looks like the budget was spent on marketing and not able to back it up.
The good:
Had two brews now. DIPA and a Sour. Both decent and followed the instructions carefully.
Its a clever device and stays really cold in the fridge (although like others have said it takes up a fair bit of space).
Just had an email to say there is 22% off. Code is FRESH22

Tried following their instructions to the tee and also leaving it for longer but in all instances the results were undrinkable.
By contrast, have had great success using a fermentation bucket and beer kits (particularly those from Mangrove Jacks).

BUT, I think I'll buy another pack with the discount and actually do it again this time. I would like to get one right.
Oh dear...
IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE PINTER 2 AND CO-PINTER 2
We have recently received a few reports of select Pinter 2 failures.
We are currently investigating this, but in the meantime, we are asking you to stop brewing under pressure with immediate effect as a precaution. The interim solution is to brew ONLY with the Carbonation Dial set to OFF - this means brewing beer with reduced carbonation and entirely removes any risk of failure.
