Delay email arrived yesterday morning, then an invoice last night for the chef's pan and frying pan which arrived today.

They are lovely and worth the wait.

I ordered some baking trays which arrived at the same time. They're about a quarter of the size I was expecting laugh Next time I'll check the very clearly provided measurements...

Time to get the flax oil out and start seasoning..!

ETA, I'm using vegetable oil to season instead as it has a higher smoking point than flax.;)

Got an invoice emailed late last night with a delivery date of today.

Just turned up in an absolutely enormous box, and damn heavy too. Those are some serious pans!

Free mini baking tray also a nice addition.

Thanks again all for the recommendations and to braketester for the 50% discount code. Merry Christmas, & hope the rest of you get your orders!

Just got my invoice email stating a delivery date of today.
Peeping out of my blinds with excitement.

The good thing is, Mrs LF won't be asking whats in the box, with it being Xmas.

Going to put them on display in the kitchen somewhere
Wow, those are nice pans! Several hundred pounds worth!

Please use them as well as keeping them where they can be seen?

Received my 28cm Classic triply fry pan today.
No free baking tray as promised, or maybe this is being sent separately?
Anyone else received their free tray?
Surprised there wasn't the usual booklet explaining how to season and clean etc.

Gave it a season and cooked a sausage n egg sandwich for my brunch..

It's actually a very nice pan and Im thinking of ordering one of their Classic Chefs pans for cooking curries etc..

There's normally a little tag attached to the handle. Did you get the bag as well? It's sometimes hiding under the cardboard the pan sits in.

And the chef pan is lovely...!

Nope, no tag, no bag and no free baking tray.
Im not overly worried about it, especially the baking tray that I never expected and was a freebie. You do normally get a tag explaining if the pan needs seasoning and if it needs any wax removing (De Buyer pans) etc.

Wouldn't feel comfortable contacting them to chase up the free baking tray, but I just wondered if anyone else had received theirs, was it in the same parcel as their pans or did it come separately?

Samuel Groves have emailed with a 30% discount code 'JANBAKE30' for their Mermaid bakeware range.
I've just put one of their Classic Chefs Pans in my basket and applied the code and it worked, so another pan on its way to me.
Dont know if this code should have been rejected for non Mermaid bakeware, but it worked for me.

I have an invoice from Samuel Groves! Think I ordered 27th Nov, hoping my patience is well rewarded. For those that have ordered from them how long should I expect delivery to take, next day perhaps?

ETA: silly man, delivery date is on the invoice, doh!

Yep. Mine was next day.

We got the rest of our order through in the end with the free baking tray which is actually quite nice.

I'm feeling angry that I didn't receive the promised free baking tray, even though I never expected one, and don't need one biggrin

New pan day! biggrin

I did receive the baking tray, it looks decent but it's huge, no much use for roasting meat but should be good for baking bread. I received a bag for three of the four pans, won't use the bags though, pans are washed and in the drawer. Tried the frying pan and smallest saucepan out, both seem decent enough and, in follow up to a comment earlier in the thread, I can confirm that the handles stayed at room temperature in use.

Just bought a chef's pan and a bigger saucepan to complement my original set. Thanks for the code.

Already ruined the free baking tray by putting it in the dishwasher... Doh!

Just ordered 26cm Chef Pan too, got it with 30% discount so it's showing as £53.07 on my credit card. Strange thing is when I look at the my Samuel Groves order summary it show £75.81 plus £15.16 VAT Total £90.97. I guess it's just their way, but never seen any other online order like it!

Edit:
Just checked back seems like it's already been discussed.

I didn't receive a bag, or the promised baking tray. But that's just how my life seems to go! frown
