We had the Dishoom Breakfast Naan this morning... Its a glorified bacon sandwich but it was very good.
Oh good lord, it is so so so good.
Well, as I seemed to kill the thread, I will resurrect it. Just had this, OMG - soooooooo fine. Amazing bacon.
Yes, they really are amazing!

Still a thing for us - with two small children it's nice to have a lovely meal at home without the rigmarole of a baby sitter!

We had the Dishoom BBQ box last weekend and it was super tasty, weather wasn't good enough to do it outside so just grilled everything but would recommend it! Their IPA is nice too :-).

Are these dinner kits really still a thing?
Yep

I use Aktar@Home and Made in Olstead.

Younger kids and babysitters are about the same price as the meal. Also I quite like eating at home when I haven't cooked...

We ate at Clays Kitchen in Caversham/Reading last night - exceptional authentic Indian food, they do an 'at home' menu also:

Pre covid I went to the restaurant to order one take away. I waited over 20 minutes for a bacon nan and was eventually served a cold sandwich (was clearly forgotten about) which I ended up taking back for a refund. I was so disappointed as I had really been looking forward to it, not been back since.

I've had a fair few of boxes from various resturants (incluidng Made in Oldstead) and the Aktar@Home is easily the best value I've tried.

Dishpatch is good - lots of choice from a wide range of resturants with changing menus. If anyone is interested, referral link gets you £20 off your first order

My "kids" ordered me the breakfast kits for fathers day this year and while it was nice it was really nothing special other than the naan which stood out as being a better dough than a shop bought.

Bacon, standard, cream cheese tomato and chilli sauce nothing better than normal.

It was okay but seemed like a lot of noise about nothing.

Can confirm... they are excellent. If you do got for them, get a cheap bamboo steamer from amazon, it makes it much easier than using the supplied card ones.
