Holy thread bump batman. I think the better non stick pan is one of those eternal topics?

We use Circulon. The youngest is probably 7 years old and still good (though we don't dishwasher them). Oldest probably 11 years old but losing the coating on the bottom (pssoibly because I hammer it making sauces and use a metal whisk).
I swore by circulon but our pan, now 6 years old has lost its non stick entirely.
Ours must be of similar vintage and both me and the mrs are finding we cant cook eggs without sticking.

My understanding was that the hard-anodised IIRC was a finish not a coating so effectively ever lasting?

Anyone tried circulon for their lifetime warranty? Can't even remember where we bought from...

We have 3 Circulon saucepans and 2 Circulon frying pans (one for eggs and the larger one for steaks) They are around 15 years old and are still non stick. I take the care to season them every two or three months with a little oil rubbed into the surface.

We'll give that a go thanks, the Mrs mostly runs the kitchen these days and I didn't realise they required it - I see there's a wipe with oil and bake for 15 mins process for hard anodised alu pans - is that what you do?

Le Creuset Stainless steel pans, absolutely awesome (unless you leave your favourite pan on a gas hob with no water in it).
I have a non-stick one of these and stuff has started to stick to it. It's quite old though, about 8 years. Also the non-stick is peeling from the edges in.
My Ex destroyed the coating on my 28cm one, she never used the smaller one & oddly its perfect after 5-6yrs.
Le C replaced the 28cm under warranty 12mths ago, regularly seasoned with corn oil, gentle heating up & never use high temps with gentle hand washing & it looks like new still.
Only use silicone or wooden utensils despite their claims you can use metal on the latest costings.
