It is not cheap at all. 30 plus quid a month is not cheap, it is dearer than a water bill. And it was NEVER that expensive until it became as popular as it is, it is exploitation as usual.

It goes up every single year (after your initial deal) meaning now, (not always the case years ago) like car/house/pet insurance you have to negotiate every year to get a better deal, we were not asked about this, they just did it and tied you into an automatic bill increase without your say.

It is quick in places, but in some places it is woeful and for the new generation, it is something that needs sorting. And if you live in a place with crap internet, funnily enough it costs the same as 100 meg, that is shambolic. But it shows what they are doing, treating everyone like dirt and milking money for old rope.

IN my experience not at all, I don't make stuff up!! So you have the same price for decades do you? Maybe I need to move.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with JE, so let's leave it alone.

Broadband could be had for 15-20 quid when I was 17. It still is now by a quick look. I’m 33.

It has nothing to do with JE but there is a theme with your posts I feel.

There really is no fun to be had in this thread, can't we all agree that there are some of us that like to help local businesses however we can, and some of us who are terminally lazy and terrified of human contact and draw a line under it?
and some that don't like getting their car damaged in the supermarket car park.
Supermarkets are for poor people, I visit my independents by bicycle.

Really expensive bicycle.

Is it OK to use Just Eat and to phone/order directly ?

Been stopping at the inlaws and they live closer to an Indian I usually go to when I'm out with the lads. They aren't on apps so i phoned and collected within half hour. Sorted.

I have learned if I order off JE for a Indian place close to me then our food is always delivered last as i think the driver is on his way back to the restaurant and the food is never warm so now I order on their website for collection.

I use JE mainly for when if i am due back about 12 and a Chinese or Indian closes at 11/half 11 i will order to deliver to my house, write a note to leave outside or usually text the mrs to take it in for me. A lot of forward planning but also helps me order food for when I'm in without the lads knowing and calling me a fat bd.

It's even worse when you sign up several times to take advantage of introductory offers repeatedly. Most of them don't even have an option to delete your account afterwards.
