This is almost exclusively the only white wine I drink now. My personal favorite is Villa Marea New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, second is Wairau Cove and there are a couple of others I'll need to sift through photos to pinpoint.
I did a wine tasting tour in October 2019 of Waiheke Island, not educated and I lack the appropriate parlance to describe wines correctly but Chardonnay and Viognier were ok but the Sauvignon really stood out. Villa Marea is produced a just south of Auckland and it is the bomb (wine parlance)
My mum loves Villa Maria. I usually pick some up for her, but I asked my local wineshop for recommendations for somebody that likes Villa Maria SV but up to, say, £20 a bottle. They recommended Greywacke and she absolutely loves it.I did a wine tasting tour in October 2019 of Waiheke Island, not educated and I lack the appropriate parlance to describe wines correctly but Chardonnay and Viognier were ok but the Sauvignon really stood out. Give it a try
Got a cloudy bay to drink this weekend never had it before and it's the most I've ever paid not in a restaurant
Definitely suggest you try that as a step up from the generic £10 bottles you see in the supermarket.
(Can’t help with the op question other than Villa Maria should hit the brief)
For some interesting Sauv Blanc, it's worth checking out the Small & Small bottles at Naked Wines. I usually have a few of those around.
At the cheapo end, I'm delighted that one of my fave summer wines from Spain is regularly available in the UK. Vina Sol. £7 ish a bottle at Majestic or slightly cheaper at Costco. Tesco and Sainsbury also carry it.
Now if only Spain exported Barbadillo at a half decent price...

I used to quite like the Montes Alpha chardonnay back in the day, hasn't gone up too much for a special treat.

I find New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough to very reliable and decent value
Got an I heart wines of this and it’s doing a satisfactory job this weekend. Might stretch to the oyster bay one that seems recommended Aldi have a 2019 Condrieu (high end Viognier) on special at the moment for £9.99.
Just picked up a bottle for a tasting this evening - will be back for more tomorrow if it's as good as it should be.
...it's heavy for a white at 14.5% which is why I got a tasting bottle as I'm not usually keen on high alcohol whites, prefer them below 12%

OMG, just tried it over lunch and it's utterly fabulous - real depth and complexity and superb quality. High alcohol, yes, but it does nor detract
....so much so I've been back and bought 30 bottles!
It would be perfect with Halibut Mornay or Lobster Thermadore
Buy it if you can find it - I've just cleaned out 2 local Aldis
