Try KFC with champagne.

Trust me, it really works.
Puts a new meaning to a KFC followed by a Magnum.

Popeyes is crap in the UK. It is marginally better than KFC. It’s a shame because they both could be so good with a couple of tweaks and some care
I like Slim Chickens.
It’s pretty good but the don’t do chicken pieces just tenders and wings

i've heard wingstop is meant to be good but there aren't many of them in the UK (yet)

you're far far better off with independent local places than chains

I actually think that Popeyes is worse. I had it twice and been disappointed both times. I still love a zinger tower burger. I tried Chick Fill A over in the states last year and thought that was good.

agreed, no fan of kfc, but the flavor of popeyes is crunch, heat and grease. the flavour of kfc is soggy, grease and some actual interesting flavors.

There must be a real opening for a proper fried chicken franchise doing decent chicken on the bone, tenders, burgers and wings. Slim chickens is ok but they don’t do bone in and I think their chips are a bit disappointing

i used to frequent kerb at canary wharf before covid of a lunchtime, even the 'artisan' fried chicken at silly money was bang average to my tastes, not as nice as KFC, it shouldn't be that hard to get right surely...

the best I've had was in the swan at ascott under wychwood as a bar snack last year, but appreciate doesn't help here.

didn't you mention chik fil a is actually coming despite previous opposition, to the uk soon? maybe it will fill that gap?

My KFC intake has probably reduced to once every 9 months. Went in to KFC over Easter to order a meal for Vikingette1 and I. The 8 piece boneless banquet was showing as unavailable on the kiosk, yet the larger and more expensive 12 piece was available. [insert huge amount of cynicsm].

When I went to order via the kiosk, there actually was no chicken available. Burgers, wraps etc, but no boxes/buckets/troughs of chicken. At KFChicken.

Spoke to the girl at the counter who rolled her eyes and said the machines weren’t very good.
