Ooh, that's gone up in price (Banh mi) - £6.50 before lockdown. But I'd happily pay the £10, it's so good!

Yeah I imagine rent on those spots has jumped up massively, there's a few streets round there all with food stalls on now so competition is fierce. Wandering by the other stalls it's in line if not a touch cheaper than the other options.

When the pret equivalent is £5-£6 I know where I'd rather spend the money.

I was in New York the other week for thanksgiving. We went to Chelsea market and came across a butchers shop/restaurant xalled Dicksons. Slow smoked brisket on a brioche bun with slaw was my lunch.
My ife had the pulled pork.

The sandwich was so good I still think about it.
