Ah, there be the problem. A can.

Fair point, alcohol never seems to do well in cans, especially ale and lager. Anybody know why though? I'm a big ale fan, but I also like the odd bottle of Stella on a hot summers day, so why does the canned version taste like i've already drunk it and thrown it back up?

My fave is Brick Kiln....made at the West Berkshire Brewery. Amazing. You can only get it at the Pot Kiln in Frilsham which has to be one of the best pubs around.

Absolutely outstandingly wonderful stuff!!! In fact, SWMBO is procuring my Friday night ration this afternoon! Ah life is good!!

Completely agree! Discovered this stuff in Haldanes in Edinburgh being curious.

Now curiosity will have me trying most of the names quoted here week by week on my shopping trips. Cannae drink lager all the time, not even the good proper imported european stuff.

I'm going to have to say it and I'm reffering to cask beer now

Summer Lighting isn't as good as when it first came out, when it used to be one of my favourites

A couple of years ago I had avery disappionting visit to the brewery expecting Summer Lighting to be at it's best

Along with Potbelly products, Duechars IPA is now my favourite, altho' this weekend I had my first poor pint of it (same next day too)

Just tried (for the first time) a couple of bottles the Hurns Brewing Company, Tomos Watins Cwrw Braf and OSB. Have to say they are certainly worth a try, both good bitters so I'll keeping an eye out to see if I can find it on draught now.

To be honest I wasn't too impressed with Deuchars (possibly a poor pint, but I don't think so). As far as Caledonian brewery goes, I reckon XPA is a much better beer

Don't think I've tried XPA but I'll look out for it as I've lied other Caledonian beers

As I wrote this weekend was the first time I've had poor Duechars, usually depending on where it's being served I've had from reasonable to excellent

The more places that serve a certain beer the more places there are to lower its overall quality - not put that very well but you know what I mean
