rofl This always happened - 'cos they were so nice, you'd rush to get them ready quicker. i.e Big Heat, Quicktime.

Very often, one side was like burnt toast. biggrin

I reckon they still do, probably found in Bejams or Lidl or somewhere like that.

Theres something delightfully wrong about a Findus Crispy Pancake.
Bejams ! Thats going back a bit.
I went to school with a boy named Bejam in the late 70s. Always thought it a very odd name.

Crispy Pancakes are vile, but often found on offer in Somerfield I believe.

I'm pleased to see that 'pancacks' wasn't a typo.......dreadful things and one can only imagine what obscure and unwanted parts of cow can be found in em, still, according to the website that'll only be about 12% of it hehe

I had a school friend who we used to call Bejam, because he always moaned it was cold. Much fun was to be had stuffing frozen Calypsos down his shirt after lunch.

For years I thought Crispy pancakes were meant to be burnt on one side.

Its a bit of a running joke in our family, my mum is a very good cook but not good at grilling, thus always at least one side burnt, however mum always cleverly hid the burnt side so you didn't know until you took a mouthful. (of course we eventually learnt this sneaky ploy of hers smile)

Having said that I've always liked them but I haven't had them for years, I'm sure they are still available.

Apparently, the pancake of choice was the 'Glass & Mushroom' flavour.

Goodfellas do 'em now biggrin Or is it Chicago Town. One of the main brand pizza bunch anyway.

And yes Crispy Pancacks [sic] are still around - Asda certainly do them and I think Sainsbury's do too.

Damn you ShadyTree, I want some Crispy Pancakes now.

I did buy some about five years ago, and they are tiny. I'm sure they used to be half the size of the plate when we were kids (much like Wagon Wheels used to be).
