I'm after a proper farm shop/market in Hertfordshire or North London.
I say proper because we've visited a couple but they have just been shops on farms selling bought in goods - nothing home grown about them. Just a scam for those with money but less in the 'know'.

Thanks, J.

Hi mate,

There's one in Hinxworth, just off the A1 north of Baldock - they do a bit of both bought in (Ginger cordial, biscuits, wodden toys) and their own stuff (really good meat, eggs, sausages, etc).
There's on in Broom that just has a family member selling stuff so you can't guarantee what they'll have in, but all very fresh, veg only. Even further north, there's a pretty big veg place on the A603 towards Bedford just off the A1 at the Sandy roundabout... and if you bother going that far north you can pop in for a cuppa before heading off darn sarff again wink

I've lived near here all my life. Its changed a bit over the years mind, but for the better smile It seems to tick all your boxes, including location so could be worth a look.

Cheers for that Dave. Next time I'm up that way I'll have look and may well take you up on the cuppa!
Hope you and Mel are well. Roll on the good weather ready for some hooning! biggrin

Any time mate.

Drove some lovely roads last night to give the car a run and saw some more farm shops, and these looked (as we flew past, whilst staying below the arbitrary speed limit wink) pretty good... still all quite far north though, but even more reason to bring the Pug, have a cuppa and going for a blatt smile
