Whats in them?

It says "white" Fish??

The are the Tesco ones @ 99p for 16

It's the fishy equivalent of 'mechanically recovered meat' (google it). hurl I know all this but am not deterred - I actually quite like them.

If you're ever in France check out the local brands such as 'Coraya' - they are a thousand times nicer than what's available in the UK and often have sachets of sauce included - the 'sauce ciboulette' is lovely.

i was thinking this just the other day!

were they actually ever made with crab, i have always known them as crabsticks

Crab sticks, ocean sticks or seafood sticks
are all made from mechanically deboned white fish mince,
washed with water until it is colourless and odourless.
Egg white, starch, flavourings and colours are added for effect.

Agreed. They are SO SO wrong and far removed from fish it's untrue.

She's right you know......
Are they actually bad for you though? "Fish" is healthy right? These things don't have added fat etc.
