I know this isn't the most exciting topic but you know that feeling when you create something to eat and you're really impressed with how it turned out cos you though it would just look like an inedible pile of mush? Well, yesterday I had some left over cooked chicken and stuffing and decided to make some pastry and do a flan. Half a pint of milk and two eggs later we had it for tea with salad, chutneys and homebaked bread. Bloody lush! It's abit like having pork pie or sausage roll; that kind of thing where abit of Branston Pickle makes it really tasty. Would also taste nice with a dollop of cranberry sauce. Never again will left over chicken end up in sarnies!

Oooh bet that tastes good cold too!

I sometimes make a pie type thing out of sausage meat, grated apple and an egg cracked in a hollow in the middle, all wrapped in puff pastry and everyone loves it. Something my mother used to make, cheap, filling, tasty and easy.

Yeah, it's fine cold. Just had some more with salad for lunch. Really surprised just how nice it tasted.. And my pastry was actually edible (I usually make awful pastry!)
