Not sure... I seem to always find it when I go to a French supermarket (last time was early January). The only time I bought it in the UK it costs me £12 for 400g... but I saw and had to have it!!! the other thing is that I don't particularly look for it outside of the winter season.

Last night I tried a new cheese from my humble local Co-op - Fountain's Gold cheddar with cracked black pepper.

Highly recommended.

Their cheddar with ginger is to die for. I always keep some in the freezer!

Mull of Kintyre at Waitrose (off the counter)!

Also love Cornish Crunch at M&S too.

Blacksticks blue cheese is very nice and brie - love them all ... Hmmmmmmmmm but can't eat it at the moment as am pregnant frown

Edited to add, everytime I ask for Mull of Kintyre, I end up humming the song for a few hours afterwards!

What rubbish about not being able to eat soft cheese when pregnant! Think about the last time you got sick from eating brie or camembert or goat's cheese (I would suggest never) so why would you being pregnant make you more susceptible?

Sure, poerhaps lay off he booze and fags for a bit, but there's no need to deny yourself something you love eating and have done without problems for years before.

I can't imagine French ladies giving up pate or cheese when pregnant!

My choice for popular cheese would be Dorset Blue Vinny, and Extra Strong cheddar.
Just read this you my friend are talking utter tosh!!!
My wife went into premature labour at 28 weeks she had caught the Listeria bacteria from soft cheese.
Our son was born at 28 weeks because of this bacteria, we had 3 horrendous months of our baby been stuck in the Anti Natal ward. He was seriously ill, have you watched a crash team trying to bring back to life your tiny little baby?
Meningitis, fluid on the brain, blood transfusions the list goes on all this from a little bacteria from eating cheese.
Why take the risk?
