Did anyone notice the size of creme eggs this year? more like a mini egg, I reckon they have reduced in size by 30% plus
They can get away with it as they only sell them from Jan to April or something similar, so noone has a comparison... cheek!

Well Twirls have gone up by 40% in our vending machine, so I'm boycotting them - what's that about?
They are just expensive to buy anyway, how much are they? Ours are 50p (only 13% profit)

Slightly off Topic, but..

I have a similar chocolate bar from 1985. Do you know if it's safe to eat?

More importantly, is it bigger than a new one?

I'm struggling here. Are you setting up the 'Slightly Off" gag, or do you want genuine advice on Vintage Confectionery?

Note to whoever moved this brilliant thread from it's rightful place in the pie and piston and into some foodie area - I HATE YOU.

Agreed. A chocolate bar question is rather more mainstream than 'Is a 1983 Burgundy all right to drink with lobster fritters?'

No way. I am a professor of Double Deckery and I can assure you that they have got smaller in the last few years.
There is nothing more satisfying that an ice cold can of Dr Pepper and a Double Decker of an afternoon.

Haven't seen a Boost in ages, let alone the one in the green wrapper that they did. I think there was a more buscuity version as well...? confused

Are the re-release Wispas still available...? Must stock up when I got to the UK.

I say bring back Spira. Loved those and only 20p back in the day...

I boycott vending machines period just because I begrudge paying their markup to pay for the machines/service.

lick

You can only get a Freddo Frog for 20p these days, and even he's gradually reverting back to a tadpole.

I think they would have to sell them at 55 if they have a higher profilt margin, kick the idiot who didn't check how much they cost for so long, 40p was a bargain!
Don't blame you for boycotting!
