Popped into a shop today, on the way to work, to buy another pack of the dreaded ciggies. Just about to pay and saw a pack of Black Jacks and next to them a pack of Fruit Salads. Bought two of each as I know mate of mine, who about same age as me, would love them as well. Haven't seen them for years! Didn,t know they still made them! Anyway my question is are there other PH'ers who remember sweets from their childhood and recently re-discovered or miss sweets that aren't made anymore?

Hi WestYorkie,

Yeah remember a couple of those, also remember Moon Pebbles, orange golf ball chewing gums and what where those pyramid shaped ice lollies called?

BTW yes am expected to be flamed or moved as this topic as probably be done before. (But did try quick search before.)

P.S. Herr Flick isn't as bad as he seems! He's just just a little peed of that he can't find the picture of the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies!biggrin

there are proper sweet shops springing up to serve those of us relative oldies that remem shops with loads of big jars and all the sweets you are talking about... i know of at least two! If you are ever in Lymm, check it out... my missus was in there with our lad and was chatting to a bloke about sweets for a few mins... she didn't realise who it was until she came out the shop and I told her it was Ian Brown (Stone Roses). Apparently he likes imps...

Quite a lot of these older sweets are available now. I get mine from The Pink Sweetshop online, and also from an old-fashioned sweetshop in Chalfont St Peter. lick I bought SBaby a dozen packets of Space Dust, only to discover he doesn't like it...

Until I discovered these places, I was quite missing floral gums, but I can buy them by the truckload now. biggrin

But nobody seems to have brought back Spangles. Which is a shame.
