I bought some vegemite a while back (3 jars) only to find that it was damn close to the use by date - it is now a year past the use by date but still tastes good.

Does this black gold go bad?
Will I die?

I'm still using a jar that is about 5 years old, and it hasn't done me any harm.

5 Years!! So, don't like Marmite much then? A large jar lasts about a month in my house!

My mum has a jar that went 'out of date' in 2003. There's only me who eats it if I'm paying a visit and it still tastes grand when it meets buttered toast! yum
