Evening,

I have aquired a bottle of this (not a pic of my bottle, it's at my inlaws).

I have no idea if it is collectable, what it's worth or where to get it valued (if it has a value), does anybody know anything about this particular bottle or where to get it valued?

It is Strathisla, malt whisky distilled in 1948 and 1961, and is a 1981 Charles & Diana royal wedding edition.

Thanks

Looks like a bottle went for £400 at auction earlier in the year (lot 405):

Serious answer now.

I just spoke to a dealer I know. He sold a bottle for £300 early 2008 so £400 now seems in the right ballpark.

I'd hold onto it if I were you.

Actually, I'd probably open it but I'm a tt for doing things like that. I've got 3 or 4 committe reserve Ardbegs that would be worth well over a grand if they were sealed but it wasn't gonna happen...
