A pie has to win sorry, despite the other great, great efforts. However, the only way I can differentiate between the 2, is that unfortunately I can't tell if zakelwe's is a fully enclosed pie, or just a casserole with a lid.

So on that note... the Carmarthenshire vote goes to the Captain.
Didn't you see the attempts at my base? However the other pie was better. CaptainZep v Corporal Punishment considering what happened smile

Andy
Ah, ah, yes, true, but the finished pictures didn't show full enclosure.

I forgot that particular part of the thread. Very sorry. paperbaggetmecoat

Any more for any more?

Looks like it will finish a bit closer than it was.

Thanks all.

Sorry for the delay, I'm currently 300 miles from home in Jep's neck of the woods. -Not that we colluded on the voting.

Hand on heart, it tasted good and went well, -maybe more luck than judgement. Not all of my cooking is a success.

Are we happy with the means of polling? It struck me that some very good dishes didn't get many votes because we use the single-vote forum poll.

Discuss.

Just don't want capable PH cooks getting downhearted, because this will die if people start dropping out.

Ingredients to follow in a new thread.

I agree.

Maybe allow multiple voting but trust people not to vote more than three times? Could potentially screw things up though.

I don't mind if I never win again, I just like taking part - I'm going nowhere me. But if there are better suggestions for voting lets hear them smile

Me too. -And I actually prefer not to be the one naming the ingredients.

Exaclty, my initial reaction last week was to be disheartened after coming second from last, I said I was going to give it a miss this time round. However once the new ingredients were posted up my mind started wandering, if people enjoy cooking and the ingredients challenge/inspire them, then they'll enter regardless.
yes

Quite agree.

But it would make voting easier.

If you start the poll, can you see who voted for what? ie. Can you police people's voting to 2 for example if we use check boxes?

I vote we make the poll multiple votes, allow 3 votes and leave it to honesty. Its not as though it really matters, does it?

I don't have any problem with the 1 man 1 vote system, anything else would be hard to police.

I missed week one becasue I was busy and the ingrediants didn't inspire me. Week 2 they did so I did. Winning is nice but I prefer the challenge and comments on what you did.

Yeah I agree, I don't think anyone will cheat. I'd guess most people haven't even been voting for their own dish even with one vote, well I haven't.

yes Simple.

I think the main issue this time was that there was such a clear winner. That didn't leave many votes for the rest of us to share! biggrin

well done zep! yay, i came joint last - the only way is up!

looking at that pie again i think the only reasonable way to judge is for you all to courier me a portion of your dishes and i will eat them. i mean decide on a winner.

I voted you gavster, different and probably what I would have opted to cook.
Well done CaptainZep smile
