Tinned Spaghetti you say?

Yes, it's the only way to eat pasta, which is only wallpaper paste in any event. Hoops or strings, I don't care.
I've said it once and I'll say it again.

hurl
In which case I'm going to have some for my lunch today, hoops I think, on toasted granary with cheddar grated on top! yum

Toasted granary and some nice cheddar +1

hehe

Oh and by the way, just in case you didn't get it before

hurl

Only joking, do you actually like real pasta? As in fresh, home-made or restaurant made stuff?

No I do not.

Like I said, it's only flour and water, I cannot see what there is to possible get revved up about. Like tuna, it is best out of a tin rather than fresh, especially once the wallpaper paste has been marinated in a tin of rich tomato sauce for a few months. Restaurants and deli's can give silly names to silly shaped pasta but it's all stodge to me, you might as well eat boiled dough. It is, however, miles better than that utter puke called polenta.

I know! I was having this same conversation just the other day - its just slipped under my radar for all these years!

Trouble is I'm a set fast believer that bacon or sausage sandwiches MUST be accompanied by tomato sauce.
nono
Ketchup with Bacon
Brown with sausages

I like the Waitrose essentials OB brown but red is only Heinz
no, no, no, unless you have breasts and a fanny there is no excuse to put ketchup on anything.

I'm rather a fan of baked bean sandwiches myself. Just heat up the beans with a bit of ground black pepper, butter 6 slices of bread and munch the lot, using the last slice of bread to mop up the juices.

I must admit, I don't like ketchup at all. And a bacon sarnie is best with ground pepper and maybe some english mustard...

Yeah Ham and mustard is a really uncommon "out-there" combination...

Quick, let's call Mr Blumenthal! No, wait, it's maybe a bit too weird for him...

hehe Bacon and mustard is good - as is bacon and apple sauce. Both (and ketchup and brown for that matter) even better with black pepper added.

+1000 God yes. Will never buy anything else now. Was just about to post this myself. My mum always gets it from the Tiptree factory for me, can you buy it anywhere else?

A standard snack for me is an HP Sauce Sandwich, (sometimes pepped up with a twist of ground chilli)
