HP fruity is the king, though for just 'normal' brown sauce daddies knocks HP into a cocked hat. I don't know if they've changed the recipe in recent years but HP just doesn't taste right to me anymore.

Another for HP Brown Sauce, although it does seem somewhat different to when it was mad in the U.K...........Daddies is far too acidic, vinegary & very thin

You haven't had Brown Sauce until you've tasted Chef. It's Irish, and outstanding.

I used to get my Irish half of the family to bring suitcases of the stuff over when they came over to visit, until I found an Irish shop in Bristol that stocks it... holy grail! They also do Tayto crisps and red lemonade!

This man knows his stuff.
Looks like the local Irish shop will get another visit from me when I'm back in sunny Luton.

There's precious little that's great in Luton but the food shopping is excellent, provided you don't need parsnips.

More varieties of mangos, sweet potatoes and so much stuff that I just don't recognise so readily available from little corner shops dotted about the suberbs. There's negligible reason to ever visit a supermarket.
