Righto.

(1) Fish -(not shellfish -although could be used as long as 'fish' is principle lump of thing on plate). Trout/Salmon/Eel fine too. Smoked/unsmoked, whatever.

(2) Eggs. Or egg.

Hope this isn't too broad. But if I nominate just one type of fish it could deter some from entering. Eggs seem to narrow options intially but actually there's all sorts of things that could be done when you think about it.

Remember, the oven is hot hot hot!

I work right next to Billingsgate so in theory I should have a headstart here. However I have never been in because I am worried I would slip over and come into work smelling of haddock. Has anyone been?

Good choice in ingredients, I am definitely in.

Is this for a week Monday ? I'm on holiday in Barcelona over this weekend, might come back with a octopus in my holdall biggrin Should prove popular on he plane....

Regards
Andy

You are aware if you want to utilise that place you need to go at 5:30am?

I work in Citi building and there is no tube/DLR running at that time in the morning to get me there early enough

I arrive at work at 5.15am in my car. It's supposed to open at 5am but I see people already leaving at 5.15am so maybe they are let in early and cannot buy till 5am?

Bloody hell what are you a cleaner???

I have been meaning to do the early morning trip for years just to pick up loads of fish (mainly huge prawns if there) but have yet to find a way of getting there so early and apparantley this reason alone is not an excuse to buy an old skool 968/964 or 928 according to the OH... sometimes I think she is a mean bh... denying me seafood and nice cars frown

Anyone care to join me?

By car from Canada Water. Where are you based?

BTW, this is in NO WAY set in stone. but I have a CDWM that lunchtime so thought some nice fish might be handy.

Im based in Clapham... hence the issues getting there....

Will have a look at how to get there or to CW for that time... I have a few days to sort it as long as it doesnt involve taxis from clapham as the money saved on the fresh fish is Null and void...

One of the highlights of any visit to Germany for me is spending a good hour or so over a full continental breakfast, fish, meats, pate, cheese, many, many breads, jams and eggs. It's bloody brilliant, tops a full english IMO boxedin

OK, I might be up for this, supposed to be racing on the Sunday which would mean it'll be a dry weekend, so getting up early on Sat wouldn't be a problem. I'm Surbiton, so potentially could collect you in Clapham and we'd get to Billingsgate in no time at that time of night.

Let me have a think.

That might sound like a plan...
