What pizza toppings?
Discussion
So, i am looking into a bit of a venture, all a bit hush hush for now but I need to start thinking what weird and wonderfull things people have on pizza's
you obiusly have the standard cheese, ham, chicken, pepperomi, chillies etc etc
But im after the more abstract stuff!
E.G. Different flavor sauce for the base, Egg for the centre, peanuts, squid, bacon, rocket, you get the idea!
Thanks

My local Italian restaurant offers Nutella as an option or the kids but I don't really get that one.
To offset this weirdness they also do a rather nice pizza that sees the tomato sauce replaced by horseradish with strips of steak, a small amount of cheese and some rocket. Personally I'd prefer spinach on it instead of the rocket.
The pizza express offering with brown shrimp and chilli oil also excited me but I'm easily pleased.
The best pizza by far is the classic Italian- thin pan, tomato sauce, basil, and mozarella.
That said, I just had a 'Chicago' from here which was very nice- thin pan, tomato sauce, red onions, minced beef in a BBQ style sauce, and mozarella. There was capsicum on it, but Satan's testicles have no place on a plate.

not sure on the nutella one though!
shrimp and chilli oil with rocket sounds lovely
The shrimp one was really nice at Pizza Express, a bit on the small side for my appetite but very tasty. It was a "Theo Randall" promotion they ran but I don't think it's on anymore.shrimp and chilli oil with rocket sounds lovely

"Theo's Gamberettini" - A delicate marriage of brown shrimps, grated zucchini and garlic, with a créme fraîche and tomato sauce. Finished with grana padano, fresh parsley, lemon and chilli oil on the side.
They served it on a rectangular slate with a mini cutting wheel, felt quite special for a generic chain place.
The one with horseradish from my local (Gavi near Leeds) is this:
Lusso - Toma Piemontese cheese, Porcini Mushrooms, seared rib eye steak and horseradish,
topped with rocket (no tomato).
