Game, killing & religious types!

During one of the many religious discussions at work (the joys of being a Darwin-ist sitting next to a Muslim and Jehovahs Witness) we got onto the whole Halal/blood thing. Muslims obviously have the whole "Allah", slit it's throat while it's alive thing and JW's say that as long as it's bleed it's ok to eat. But my question is related to game. The JW got some Rabbit from the local Butcher which had 'apparently' been bleed, but all the Rabbit I've had has normally been shot or trapped, then skinned and gutted later. I guess this doesn't count as bleed so isn't ok for them? So am I right in thinking that anything shot (Pheasant, Deer, Pigeon) they can't eat?

Guess I should add, I'm off work this week so I can't ask them!

I've no idea if this counts, but shooting an animal in the chest pretty effectively bleeds it out.
