Vodka - Getting in to it now, whats your favourite ?
Discussion
Hi there,
Not usually a big drinker, but have started getting into Vodka quite recently.
Started off with some of the run of the mill stuff like Smirnoff, but have moved up to some of the more exclusive brands now.
My current tipple is Stolichnaya Elit, this comes in a superb bottle and is a great drink.
Think I am getting the hang of this now as I can even tell the difference between a cheap Vodka and a decent one.
Also working my way through the Absolut range of flavoured Vodka, my favourite so far is the Raspberri. Can't wait to try the Peppar one.
Prefer Vodka to Whisky as there seems to be thousands of Whisky's available and I wouldn't really know where to start.
Also managed to pick one of these up today. The Absolut Rock Edition, a 70cl bottle of Absolut Blue inside a Natalia Brilli designed leather sleeve with chrome studs. Great for all the fetishists out there !
So all of you London based guys must be pretty frequent visitors to the Vodka bars, so whats your favourite ??
Regards
Tim

I'm a big fan of Grey Goose and Stoli.
Decent vodka is soooo much smoother than the cheap stuff.
Indeed, I didn't realise how smooth vodka could be until my Father brought me some back from Russia. Don't recall the brand but it had a girl on the bottle wearing very little. Lovely stuff Decent vodka is soooo much smoother than the cheap stuff.
This Stolichnaya is only £8.99 in Somerfield at the moment (or was in my local one at the weekend).

Elit is a great Vodka but rather pricey. I would recommend Chase as well is you haven't tried it already. Made by the same people who make Tyrell's crisps.
If you like your Vodka to taste very pure then try Russian Standard Imperia. As far as they can ascertain it's the purest Vodka ever made by mankind.

I used to have a fantastic bottle of 'Ulovka' - or something like that anyway.
It came in a nice presentation box and had a twisty long 'swan like' neck to the bottle.
Sadly this one was poured down the sink by SWMBO after I got a bit carried away on a previous Vodka jolly Such a waste!!!
