Some guys at work decided to organise a Pizza Hut buffet lunch challenge, the premise being that you pay your set fee (£5.49) and eat as many slices as possible. I'm not a huge fan of their pizza, I find it far too greasy for my tastes, but couldn't let that get in the way of me proving myself as a big lad.

So here I am sat 'working' the rest of the day with a very tight waistband and the taste of supreme repeating on me. I managed to win of course with after consuming a grand total of 17 slices, I feel I could have gone further but there was no need as i was the victor. Has anyone else attempted this foolhardy feat? If so how many slices did you manage?

I've put this in the lounge as no doubt the only replies I will get in the food and drink forum will be along the lines of "pizza hut is terrible i only eat homemade pizza with truffles and exclusive Casu marzu cheese".

A mate of mine done 24 slices. I'm pretty sure he had to keep his mouth closed for the rest of the day otherwise pizza would have fallen out.

Found it.

This was a different sitting to the one above. It used to annoy the hell out of the staff, and we used to keep a man to 'man' the plate hehe

17 is good going. i trust these were full size slices and not the pissy offcuts/ garlic bread doesn't count!

our office do it every year the day of our xmas night out for added danger. my record is 18 slices but the top slot is 20 with the women's record at 14 slices.

Sorry I have to say I don't know what has happened to these places over the last decade (thats about how long it was since I was last in one)

We had one of their vouchers so decided to brave it...

...it was st. The only thing that could have made it worse was if they actually put a dookie in the box and served it. (all Pizza huts may not be the same)

If you don't eat the crusts it doesn't count! biggrin

One time we went to a non-chain pizza place that was doing one of these eat-all-you-can deals. One of the lads scoffed 15 or so slices, then got out a tupperware container and took another 5 away with him hehe The place closed down a few months later sadly. Probably making a huge loss on all-you-can-eat deals...

I haven't had a Pizza Hut buffet for years. I used to do the challenge alot but all I ended up with was severe heartburn and feeling very ill for the rest of the day, not to mention the passing of that much stodge a while later...

I think I've done about 15 slices BTW!

The challange varies. With, without, certain flavours. Just a bit of a laugh/horrible sick feeling.

Cheesy bites count for extra also.

And yes, these better have been the large deep pan, otherwise you can half your count.

Personally ive only managed 6 large deep pan slices with cheesy bites, which is most of a large.

A friend can consume about 16, i.e. 2 large pizza's. I would recommend against this though, for fear of serious health issues.

Am I the only one who finds it pretty fking weird when people boast about how greedy they are? So you're on your way to being morbidly obese - if not already. Erm....congratulations.

6 slices. get out! a large pizza is childs play.

worst bit is getting through the afternoon sat at your desk wanting to hurl.

once at uni we had all you can eat pizza hut then bet one lad he couldn't eat a large big mac meal with milkshake. he tried his best but we were right. not pretty.

The one on the left certainly looks like a large portion.

I tried this while at college, they couldn't make enough pizzas to keep up wit the six of us and the eight "normal" customers. (I managed 16 before we had to leave for lessons)

There is a local chinese restaurant that does the same offer but with much nicer food lick

You won't find them listed on takeaway menus, check some other sources.

Nice work, we used to do this at my old work. Adding to the challenge was getting to the hut, eating as much as possible, getting back to work and upstairs into the office without throwing up within an hour! I think our record stood at 17 too, personally I never beat 13.
