Takeru Kobayashi - world competitive eating champion.

53 hotdogs in 12 minutes. 16,000 calories.

Weighs about 11 stone, and fit as a fiddle.

Incredible guy

Probably works out like a madman for weeks before and after. You can burn off thousands of calories a day.

I would imagine hes boaderline bulimic as well, eating that much in one sitting isn't going to feel comfy, fingers down throat and a few thousand calories in the toilet after the comp.

He's a freak, amazing talent - just about everone else who's any good at this sport is in the >30 stone range.

Though the new champ, Joey Chestnut isn't a very big guy. Bigger than Takeru, but not huge. 66 hotdogs in 12 mins!

Am I the only one who finds it pretty fking weird when people boast about how greedy they are? So you're on your way to being morbidly obese - if not already. Erm....congratulations.
I did this challenge numerous times through my uni days and a fair few years later I'm still perfectly healthy and a long long way from being obese smile

Eating vast amounts of pizza is extremely cool, lighten up a bit.

I think I hit about 14 once but I'm not a big chap and it almost killed me. A friend of mine at Uni called "the hulk" who played for the rugby 1st team and weighed about 25stone (fat mostly) did well over 20 I believe.

We used to do it when we were students. 14 was my personal best. A mate (about 5'6" and 9 stone) managed 21 but he was up puking all night!

17 slices is an awful lot of dough. If you wash it down with a few cokes doesn't it swell in your gut?
