Well your profile has no region listed so difficult to say.

If you're near London, go to Edgware Road, easiest station is Marble Arch. There are loads of arabic places along there. Just pick any that are busy and chances are it'll be ok, although obviously avoid those which look like glorified kebab houses.

Beruit Express on the Edgware Road or Al-Dar on the Kings Road. They are the 2 most consistantly good shawarma places in London - Been going to them for must be 10-15 years now.

I adore Shawarmas, used to have them all the time when I lived in Qatar. Recent trips to Dubai and Abu Dhabi have rekindled my love for them. When drunk in Rotterdam I think I annoyed some kebab place for about half an hour demanding one hehe

Anywhere near Newcastle do them?/thread hijack

See the other kebab thread, it talks in detail and gives a couple of hints towards where you can get them. The OP of that has the best idea (I've not been for years) he reckons near the cop shop. My collander-like memory recalls or imagines halfway up Division St but don't give that too much credence.

there's a fantastic one on allenby street, but i guess you don't live in tel aviv. plenty in amsterdam too.

as mentioned, you need a lebanese or at least middle eastern kebab house. if all you have near you are pakistani owned, try a lamb shish.

GOt one from Shawarma express in Manchester.

Tasted correct and was awesome apart from lack of salad and price....£3.49 :O:O:

However I know a lebanese store that sells the wraps and the tahini sauce biggrin

So I'm gonna make it at home and buy the cooked chicken from the take away biggrin

Buy the chicken meat from a takeaway.

Like a portion of it on its own...

i thought you meant shawarma as in lamb, which is hard to find over here. you can get chicken everywhere, known as a chicken donner.

if you're in manc. you don't exactly want for kebab shops. if it must be a wrap not a naan, try monsoon's by oxford road station - they're pretty much the daddy but small and moreish.

As a showarma lover i have had a great one in Tel Aviv , and suprisingly a not bad one in Poland of all places but never found anything worth eating in the UK

I lived in Holland for a couple of years and put on several kilos due to Showarmas biggrin
