The Great Breakfast photo thread
Discussion
Just to put that table full of breakfast into context, a group of us got together in London in September to attend the funeral of an old friend who had just passed away. He was the architypal bon viveur (and regularly ate the sort of breakfast featured in many posts above on this thread). We had had a very late night out the evening prior to the funeral, raising our glasses to his life ("because, we agreed, full glasses all round is what he would have wanted") followed by the breakfast you see in that picture the following morning. While we were all feeling rough as hell, we had the full works (and even persuaded the girl present to have a large plate too, again because "Al would have demanded it". There's no way I could eat like that on a regular basis.
Al died from a heart attack aged 38. RIP Buddy.

Fair enough, but I have to ask, where was this cafe? I regularly run a couple of laps of Richmond park and sometimes grab breakfast with a friend afterwards, I need to know where it is!
It was a place called The Bistro, which Googlemaps puts at around 418 Richmond Road, not technically in the Park, but 5 mins walk down from Ham Gate Avenue by the Golf Club.Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
