I hadn't put the deep fryer away from making chips the other night, so decided to have an experiment at making breakfast scotch eggs. Got some nice sausages from the butcher, mixed the sausage meat with some black pudding and smoked bacon. I don't normally rave about my own cooking but this was awesomely delicious.

These were the starter at a wedding i went too a couple of weeks ago, very rich but very very nice.Ill take a couple

Re kippers on previous page; they look like boil in the bag. Not so keen on them, though the vacuum packed seem to be okay. Rare to find 'fresh' kippered herrings (I know) hereabouts - when I get them I prefer grilled.
