No, it's this M'Lud:

In my defence, at 50p it's too cheap not to buy.

If I grow a beard would that help my chances any, do you think?

If he's within the millennial age bracket, then let him / (her??) off with just a strongly-worded dressing down! That should suffice for now.
Could have been a lot worse. If there'd also been globs of salad cream and marmalade on there, that would have been grounds for summary dismissal due to complete breakdown of trust and confidence. As you say it's just the verbal counselling stage at the moment, aka at attention, cap off.

I agree that we need to keep this in proportion, but it does need firm action and a clear understanding of what is and isn't acceptable. So, for now, a verbal, but I for one am prepared to elevate if there's a repeat. It simply won't do.

This thread is becoming unruly. We should diversify and have a poncey, beard wax enthusiasts breakfast thread and a proper breakfast thread. The latter will accept submissions with chips.

Ok. The panel has reached a decision. We assume that you are not wearing a hipster beard and half mast trousers BUT (and not all were so forgiving) you are only given a verbal warning. This will remain on your record for the next 12 breakfasts. Any repeat offending, or even an unintentional mention of avocado at breakfast time WILL result in a harsher penalty. You may appeal against this decision but you are warned that the severity of this admonishment could be increased.

JUST DONT DO IT AGAIN. Go and have a doorstep bacon buttie to make amends and bring peace to your soul.

I walked past the avocado smash at lunchtime, I should report.

...bought some quinola salad instead.

Oh, and 4 big-ass pizzas too.

There is plenty of room for avocado and poached egg on toast in this thread.
Makes for a delicious breakfast.
On this occasion, while the eggs look good, the avo looks but a mere smear.
Did the squeezy bottle run dry?
It's a problem.

The way I see it is that it isn't so much the content of this fancy breakfast, as the execution. The ingredients themselves are fine, but the way it was done was sloppy enough to justify censure.

I certainly wouldn't wish to completely discourage a healthier option than the traditional FEB, but it ought to at least look good.

Too generous with my wife's portion and when I attempted to rectify matters she stabbed me with a fork.

I've done fried bread twice on this thread, but it's usually the supporting role to the eggs and beanage so maybe it escaped recognition.

I've never been able to do it to a caff standard. So it is a high days and holidays treat for me i.e. when I can get to a caff.

Caff standards is horrible though its just dunked into the deep fryer. Proper fried bread is done in the frying pan after the bacon

My missus does it like that but it just isn't the same, it seems like greasy toast. I like caff standard fried bread.

She needs to turn the heat up. Partially toasting the bread first can also help.
