Something a bit different.
Old Yorkshire style (home made) oat cakes - which are a bit like a thick oaty pacncake (soft, not like hard Scottish oatcakes) - a mix of oatmeal, flour, yeast and milk/water made into a batter and left until starting to bubble, then cooked in a dry pan. Also called haverbread. Perfect as they absorb bacon fat.
Served with grilled old style bacon (6 week cure) with a wide band of fat. Outdoor reared pigs. Not a hint of white muck when cooked.
OK, not a full English but traditional, locally sourced and partly home made.
