Prepping for tomo morning.

Just to say that the FEB Council was tipped off and their Detector Vans will be patrolling.

You have been warned.
Unfortunately the detector vans have been recently outsourced to Capita.
It's great - already this morning they have billed for 742,609 detections, so it's definitely working.
hehe

Unfortunately one of my team members rang me in a flap at 7am this morning and I've had to go into the office to help deliver a presentation, so just a Micky D's for me today

Scanner just picked up a radio comm alerting one of the vans to divert to a nearby 92 year old with no TV licence who spilt both beans and egg on the reminder letter contrary to schedule 2, Table D para b(iii) "Egg and beans must not touch regardless of circumstances unless building on fire"

We must pray for them as they undertake their important work.

They are to be praised for their noble endeavours in keeping beans and eggs separate.

Early predictions of what catastrophic events could happen when such opposing elements collide were foretold in the fascinating tv documentary Sapphire and Steel some years ago.

Slight overenthusiasm on the beanage, which is why I prefer a ramekin. Even though I'm alone in that, and so many other, ways.

Not great at all...

Rock hard and over cooked deep fried BP. Undercooked and soggy hash brown. Tasteless battery egg. Cheap sausages and wet beans.

The bacon and the toast was the only nice thing...And the mug of tea, that was pretty good.

Overall a generous 4.2 / 10

£5.90 + £0.80 for the black pudding + tea

What do you expect for that amount of money? It will have about £1.50 worth of ingredients for that.

It’s new and this is my review.
Given the cafe across the road is similar in price but far superior in quality and care I expected some consistency.
I can and do enjoy a cheap FU when cooked properly.

I never had a problem with having beans on my plate but after reading so many comments on here, I now prefer them in a separate dish/ramekin

How much would you pay for a slice of black pudding then?

4 big slices in a pack are £1 in the supermarket, so they're not 80p, wholesale, cooked?

Times cost by about 4, so 80p is about right.

Cafes near me, 80p for a slice of BP is ok. Most extras are 50p-£1.50 the top end being extra sausage or bacon.

50p gets you a fried slice. I’m going to bed early so I can indulge.

Waited 20 mins for my hotel poached eggs today.

Suspect I waited 5 minutes, and me and the eggs were simply forgotten for the other 15.

That needed to be sent back. I'd be embarrassed to serve that to my missus, let alone a paying customer.
